ROUSES POINT U.S. Customs agents announced Tuesday that they have arrested a Quebec man and charged him with attempting to transport more than $1 million worth of hashish oil into Canada.
Ovide Martin, 64, was arrested on Friday after U.S. Border Patrol officers observed him acting suspiciously near the U.S.-Canada border in Mooers Forks, Clinton County, agents said.
Authorities seized 56 liters, or 14 gallons, of hashish oil from Martin's van, said Daniel Letourneau, resident agent in charge at the Customs office in Rouses Point.
