Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II, the songwriters who gave us corn ``as high as an elephant's eye'' in ``Oklahoma!,'' are back with more corn -- the Iowa variety -- in the ``new'' musical State Fair.
Serving it up at Proctor's, Schenectady, Tuesday and Wednesday is a stellar cast of Broadway veterans, including Donna McKechnie (``A Chorus Line''), Scott Wise (``Jerome Robbins' Broadway'') and Andrea McArdle (``Annie''). Also starring are Bing's widow, Kathryn Crosby, as the matriarch of the Frake clan, and John Davidson, still dimpled, boyish and with enough gray hair to play the role of Papa Frake.
