Health care is a financial challenge for many New Yorkers. More than 3 million New Yorkers lack any health care coverage, a number that is increasing.
Next month, the state Legislature is expected to reconvene to re-enact HCRA, the state's system of financing health care. Many health care advocates are urging the Legislature to enact Family Health Plus, which would provide subsidized health insurance to adults whose incomes are below 250 percent of poverty.
