NINE new companies are expected to list on the Irish Stock Exchange over the coming year, exchange bosses said yesterday.
The bulk of the new listings, eight, are expected to be smaller companies entering the Irish Enterprise Exchange (IEX) market, with just one new listing slated for the main market, probably Smurfit Kappa.
Ten companies joined last year, including Aer Lingus on the main market and nine entrants to the IEX.
News of the potential listings emerged during the presentation of the annual results of the Irish Stock Exchange yesterday, when it reported that 2006 had been one of its best ever years.
