Kathy Martinez is afraid to go to the dumpster behind her apartment building in Capitol Hill because it's overflowing with garbage that hasn't been collected for almost a month.
"It's just disgusting," said Martinez, 49, an accounting specialist.
"The pile is quite high. There's a huge couch that someone put next to the dumpster, and because the dumpster is overflowing, people are just putting their garbage on the couch."
Martinez is among nearly two dozen people who have complained to the Rocky about their garbage not being picked up since the holiday blizzard last month.
