Jan. 11--LEXINGTON -- The first experience High Point's basketball team had with VMI's shoot first, ask questions later offense proved favorable.
The Panthers may even want to think about playing the style themselves.
Despite an anxious moment late when the Keydets, against all probability, closed to within seven points, the Panthers survived for a 115-104 Big South Conference victory at Cameron Hall.
"We never give up, but at the same time, we can't be giving up 15-point leads early in the game," VMI's Chavis Holmes said. "We can always come back, but we have to stop giving up the big leads like that."
