Battles are routinely fought in the land of marriage insurgencies involving in-laws, clashes concerning children, skirmishes over sex, near-military action about money.
The rockets' red glare most often may be seen in smaller battlegrounds, in the combat about cooking, the wrangle over whites and darks, the contention about who cleans up.
But a new study of housework over 30 years indicates that the warfare may be ebbing because, well, no one seems to be doing much housework anymore. A truce.
The reason?
We no longer believe that home cooking and a manicured rug are worth the aggravation.
