Little dogs can bring showers of happiness and love to their owners. Marie Salemi of Clifton Park sings the praises of the Yorkshire terrier.
Salemi was permanently disabled due to a bout of Lyme disease that went undetected for a time, and her Yorkie, called ``Willie,'' lights up her life.
Willie is very smart. He can smile, wave hello and loves to be sung to. He likes chasing and watching squirrels, said Salemi, who doesn't consider the Yorkie a pet. ``I refer to him as my son,'' she said sincerely.
The 11-year-old animal displays a personality unlike other animals she owned, she said. The two ...
