Koop, who has been hanging his hat up at Dartmouth Medical School, is the centerpiece of www.drkoop.com, the latest in a series of medical Web sites that dole out information to a vast new public of HMO-traumatized ``cyberchondriacs.''

Koop and his business partners are betting that his hard-won reputation for integrity as surgeon general during the Reagan years will lure clients to the site to seek medical advice and to buy ``drkoop'' products.
