TROY -- Mother Nature tried to come to the aid of the Academy of the Holy Names girls' basketball team Saturday, when a snowstorm forced the postponement of the Class B Section II title game at Hudson Valley Community College.
Several Holy Names players had battled the flu since Tuesday night's semifinal rout over Queensbury, but another 24 hours of rest didn't make much difference.
Two-time defending champion South Glens Falls pounded Holy Names 48-21 to advance to the regional tournament Wednesday at Queensbury. The Bulldogs will face the Section X winner at 5 p.m.
