Jan. 12--Houston artist and former aeronautical engineer Al Souza said his interest in organization instigates much of his creative work.
Souza, who has a 50-piece show opening today at the Art Museum of Southeast Texas, makes intricate collages out of papers and puzzle pieces, which may contain photos of clouds, candy and kittens. In most works, he assembles strips or chunks of several jigsaws into a large collage, which is sometimes circular.
