Virtually everybody who is anybody in the music business has been immortalized by a boxed set: from Eric Clapton and Bob Dylan to Linda Ronstadt, Stevie Wonder, Jimi Hendrix, Tom Petty, Sammy Davis Jr. -- well, you get the idea.
There has been one major holdout until now, however: The Eagles, who finally embraced boxed-set mania with last week's the release of the four-CD ``The Eagles: Selected Works 1972-1999.''
``Yeah, it seemed like we were the only guys not to have a boxed set,'' Eagles co-singer Glenn Frey says from Los Angeles.
