It's difficult to find someone who's indifferent to sweet potatoes -- people either love them or hate them.
One theory as to why some people don't like sweet potatoes is that their only exposure to them has been on Thanksgiving when they are served the insipid canned variety. Canned sweet potatoes often come already ``candied'' making the sweets even sweeter. By the time they are ceremoniously topped with marshmallows, you've got an dish that is all ``sweet'' and no ``potato.''
Scrap the canned sweet potatoes in favor of fresh.
