LOUISVILLE, Ky. and NEW ORLEANS, Sept. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Columbia/HCA Healthcare Corporation (NYSE:COL) and Tulane University today announced the signing of a letter of intent to form a partnership for the joint ownership and operation of Tulane University Hospital and Clinic in New Orleans, La.
Tulane University Hospital is a 269-bed, tertiary care facility with speciality services that include oncology, pediatrics, cardiovascular, ophthalmology, orthopedics, neurosurgery and a multi-organ transplant center. The joint venture, in which Columbia/HCA will hold an 80- percent interest, will have a total value in excess of $160 million.
