WASHINGTON -- Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan, a former Harvard professor known for his wit and sharp intellect, is savoring the last days of his 24 years on Capitol Hill before returning to academic life.
The bow-tied senior senator from New York who delivers thoughtfully parsed sentences and is famously prone to tangents, says he won't be sad to leave the Senate next month when Congress adjourns.
``There comes a time when it's time to go,'' Moynihan, 73, said in an interview in his Capitol Hill hideaway last week.
He said he is mulling ``very attractive offers'' at Princeton's Woodrow ...
