DEAR FRIENDS: Recently we printed a recipe for a Mock Apple Pie using regular saltine crackers. Well, we received lots of letters about the recipe.
Karen Dickey of Mechanicsville, Ohio, says, ``I fooled the whole family with the mock apple pie. It was easy and great.''
An e-mail came in from Ginny Winn of Huntington Beach, Calif. She says, ``The recipe called for 20 whole soda crackers. But it looked so soupy. So, I figured maybe you meant 20 big crackers -- meaning the four small crackers that are hooked together that you can split apart to make four.
