Jan. 13--NEWPORT NEWS -- A dispute among several teenagers on a school bus escalated rapidly Friday when one pulled out a box cutter and threatened others, police said.
One was slightly injured, although police did not confirm whether the box cutter was the source of the injury.
Police confronted a third who managed to get the box cutter but then refused orders to surrender it.
The cause of the dispute was not released.
"It was some kind of argument between young ladies on a school bus," said Officer Harold O. Eley, a police spokesman.
