If Guilderland has a downtown, Stuvyvesant Plaza is it.
It's a strip mall where each storefront looks unique, where you can shop for shoes but also visit the dry cleaners or buy a pack of stamps.
Smaller strip malls like Stuyvesant are suburbia's answer to Main Street and may be coming to a shopping center near you. There are several reasons why neighborhood shopping centers are seeing more growth than large enclosed malls.
