NEWPORT NEWS, Va., Sept. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Jack W. Davis Jr., vice president and editor of the Daily Press, has been named president and publisher of that newspaper. The announcement was made today by Joseph D. Cantrell, Tribune Publishing executive vice president.
Davis replaces Cantrell, who was named to the Tribune Publishing post in July to direct the unit's six daily newspapers and Tribune Media Services after eight years as president and publisher of the Daily Press.
Davis has been Daily Press vice president and editor since 1991. He joined the newspaper as editor in 1987 and has played key roles in the overall improvement of the Daily Press and in new ...
