Fishing captain who blew [pounds sterling]1.2m fortune on drugs found dead.

AFTER losing his fishing boat in force 12 gales, Jackie Green managed to turn the disaster to his advantage - building up a [pounds sterling]1.2million fortune.

But yesterday it emerged the 47-year-old former skipper had been found dead after blowing the entire amount on nearly ten years of drugs, drink and parties.

The fishing captain - who developed a [pounds sterling]500a-day heroin habit within a few years of quitting the sea - was found in a tenement in Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire, earlier this week.

His death, believed to be drug-related, comes six years after his older brother Stephen died of an overdose.
