NEW YORK -- The brushed aluminum letters, each more than a foot high, promise much more than just a car: ``Freedom,'' ``Serenity'' and ``Adventure'' is what Ford is selling at this year's New York International Auto Show.
Nary a word, though, about something far more mundane: fuel efficiency.
The New York show opens on the heels of a warning from federal energy officials that gasoline prices will likely spike again this summer. There's talk in Washington of tightening fuel efficiency requirements for new cars for the first time in years. Executives at the Big Three have pledged recently to beat one another ...
