Jan. 14--With a real estate developer selling all four of his golf courses in the area, it's hard not to wonder if he knows something or if it's panic time in the golf business.
Nah, it's neither, really, said the developer, Jack Loew, whose comments were echoed last week by a cross section of golf insiders in the area.
The shakeout from the overbuilding during the golf course boom of the last decade probably isn't over, but none of those interviewed expects fire-sale prices for courses or a slew of closures.
