Jan. 14--WEST DELRAY BEACH -- Since the opening of a new southbound ramp to Florida's Turnpike at Atlantic Avenue last month, drivers have faced hassles getting onto, off and around the turnpike.
They should get used to it.
It's going to be nearly two years before the project to reconfigure the interchange, widen the turnpike and widen part of Atlantic Avenue is complete.
"There are a ton of things going on there," said Joseph Hansen, a turnpike spokesman. "It's a little inconvenient now, but in the long run it's going to be top notch."
Work on the $28.4 million project began in September 2005.
