Jan. 14--LOWELL -- Our 12-day cross-country journey seeking Jack Kerouac's America culminates here.
As our bus snakes through the streets in the rain, abandoned mills and the tidy homes of Centralville slide by. More than any other stop on this trip, from the hipster streets of North Beach, to the glamorous avenues of New York City, Lowell evokes the essence of the writer.
