SAN DIEGO -- Maybe it's time. Just time to slap "Marty-ed" in Webster's dictionary.
Time for Marty Schottenheimer's pained postseason mug shot to signify bone-crushing, heart-stomping defeat. The New England Patriots, this postseason's most calloused, pressure-hardened group, added another to the growing pile Sunday with a 24-21 victory against Schottenheimer's San Diego Chargers in Qualcomm Stadium.
"We just made one more play at the end than they did," said Patriots coach Bill Belichick, who is 12-1 in playoff games with New England.
