Jan. 13--Ever wished you could buy beer at Wegmans?
You just might get your wish sooner than you think.
It's not going to happen next week or even next month, but the Rochester, N.Y.-based supermarket chain is trying to get licenses that would allow it to sell beer at 11 locations, including two in Erie County.
"We are hoping to acquire restaurant liquor licenses for all of our Pennsylvania stores," said Jo Natale, director of media relations for Wegmans.
"What that would allow us to do is sell up to two six-packs of beer for customers to take home from our cafe areas," she said.
