Just because you've never been diagnosed as having had a stroke doesn't mean you might not have suffered a mini-stroke and not realized it. According to a report in the October 9, 2006 Archives of Internal Medicine, upwards of one in six people who've never been diagnosed with a stroke or a mini-stroke (transient ischemic attack, TIA) have experienced mild stroke symptoms.
