It used to be that erectile dysfunction (ED) was considered a lifestyle issue and not necessarily a medical concern. But if you're one of the 18 million American men who suffer from ED, your condition may signal more than a problem with your sexual performance.
Researchers continue to find evidence suggesting that ED is a precursor to cardiovascular disease (CVD) and an increased risk of heart attack and stroke. For example, in a study published in July in the European Heart Journal, researchers found that of the 300 male study participants who suffered from ED and coronary artery disease, 93 percent had ED up to three years before showing any signs of coronary artery ...
