Beijing awards over $6 million to top local brands
Shanghai. January 16. INTERFAX-CHINA - Beijing has awarded a total of RMB 48 million ($6.15 million) to 20 local companies named in the top brands of 2006 list, published by the by Chinese authorities.
Each of the companies received RMB 2 million ($253,000) from the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Industrial Development. The amount of the award is "unprecedented in China," according to Beijing Daily.
During an annual review by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, 17 brands from 14 Beijing companies were named in the 2006 China Famous Brands. Several hundred ...
