Oklahoma St.77 Penn63 BOSTON -- Oklahoma State guard Victor Williams finally lived up to his first name in the NCAA Tournament.
Williams, a 5-foot-10 senior, scored a career-high 29 points as the sixth-seed Cowboys eliminated 11th-seed Pennsylvania 77-63 in the first round of the East Regional at the FleetCenter.
Williams transferred from Illinois State in 1999, and sat out his first season at Oklahoma State in compliance with NCAA transfer rules. Then the Cowboys lost in the first round the past two seasons.
