WASHINGTON -- Administration trade officials plan to meet here next month with counterparts from the Ukraine on the issue of growing wool imports from that country.

Rita Hayes, a Commerce Department deputy assistant secretary for textiles and apparel and chairman of the inter-agency Committee for the Implementation of Textile Agreements, said an exact time for the meeting has not yet been set.

While she declined to specify what sort of limits, if any, the U.S. will seek on these imports, she did acknowledge there is concern about growing shipments of all types from Eastern Europe.
