Walter Payton, businessman and former star running back for the Chicago Bears, recently filed for divorce from his wife after 18 years of marriage.

Payton, 40, who enjoyed an illustrious career with the Chicago Bears, retired in 1989. Since retiring, Payton has been involved in several successful business ventures, including nightclubs, in the Chicagoland area. He broke Jim Brown's all-time rushing record with 12,400 yards in 1984 and earned the nickname "Sweetness" for his speed and finesse on the field.
