Byline: Staff reports Yale 5 Union 2 Kristin Savard scored goals 1:14 apart in the first period to snap a 1-1 tie and give Yale a 5-2 victory over Union in women's hockey at New Haven, Conn. -
The Bulldogs (7-7-3) outshot the Dutchmen 54-13. Union, which lost 6-0 to Yale on Friday night, fell to 3-18-1.
Suzanne McGoey scored to give Yale a 1-0 lead 7:16 into the game. Union tied it on Kate Gustafson's unassisted goal four minutes later, but Savard struck with her two goals to put Yale in charge.
