Jan. 18--Experts with the Army Corps of Engineers next week will look for old bombs and other hazards in an area east of Sahuarita used decades ago as a bombing range. Most of the bombs, bullets and other tools of warfare used in the 42-square-mile Sahuarita Air Force Range were cleaned up when the U.S. military handed the last portion of the range back to the state in 1978. Although only a few bombs -- and other hardware that resembles bombs -- have been found in the sparsely populated area over the years, corps officials believe there's at least a chance that unexploded ordnance may still lie buried around the area, said Lloyd Godard, ...
