The Yule Log will be home for the holidays.
Madison Square Garden Network has dropped the Christmas Eve legend "The Yule Log," a long-running New York tradition that was revived by the cable giant in 1999, a spokesman said recently.
As usual, the negotiations broke down because of money.
"The Yule Log is Christmas," the Log said in a recent phone interview from his upper East Side duplex. "The Garden's played hardball with me before, but this year's different. I don't know if it's the economy, or if they think they can get some cheapjack pine from a Wal-Mart parking lot to fill in, or what."
