RUSSIA EYES PAPUAN SITES FOR SATELLITE LAUNCH BASE
JAKARTA - Russia was studying the possibility of using an Indonesian airport in Papua for satellite launches, an official of the state-owned airport operator PT Angkasa Pura (AP) I said.
Russian officials had discussed the plan with AP I to make Biak airport in northern Papua the launch base, Operation Director of AP I Risman Nuryadin told the newspaper Investor Daily.
