Federal Signal Corp. announced it acquired the business and assets of Birmingham, Mich.-based Codespear LLC, a maker of software for public safety and security communications.
The $17 million Codespear acquisition will be immediately integrated into Federal Signal's renamed safety and security systems group and is expected to be slightly accretive to earnings in 2007, the company stated in a release.
