BALLSTON SPA - Saratoga County is seeking a new director of emergency services to succeed Al Dewey, who is retiring after holding the post for 15 years.
"To a certain extent, it's a mixed reaction," Dewey said about leaving the post. "It's time for somebody else to come aboard and get some new blood."
Dewey, 55, of Wilton, has worked for the county for 29 years. In addition to overseeing the office of emergency services, Dewey spent 14 years in the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office, leaving with the rank of sergeant when he assumed the emergency services post.
