HOOSICK FALLS - Dairy farmer Chuck Phippen finds evidence in his own family that convinces him unpasteurized raw milk is healthier than store-bought milk.
A trio of older sons, now in their teens, grew up drinking pasteurized and homogenized milk, while three younger sons, now between 3 and 6 years old, drink only raw milk from the family farm.
Phippen says it's no coincidence that the older boys struggled with ear infections, while the younger ones have had none. He's become one of a growing number of raw-milk adherents who believe pasteurization and homogenization rob milk of essential enzymes and proteins ...
