HALFMOON - You might say Joseph Meisner is stuck in the 1940s.
He was born then. His Guideboard Road home was built then.
But some 60 years later, Meisner still uses phones and radios built prior to World War II. His American flag, hanging in his own personal World War II museum, has only 48 stars. Even the calendar on the wall remains open to January 1943.
"It's kind of a semi-immersion in the time. It's a comfortable feeling," Meisner said.
Now the 59-year-old history buff wants to take his interest in the '40s and World War II to a higher level. He's founded what he believes is the area's first World War II re-enactment ...
