FARNBOROUGH, U.K., Sept. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Bombardier Regional Aircraft Division announced today that Cincinnati-based COMAIR, the Delta Connection airline, has converted five Canadair Regional Jet (+) aircraft options to firm orders.
COMAIR, North America's launch customer for the 50-passenger twinjet, originally ordered 20 Canadair Regional Jet aircraft in October 1991 plus five additional firm orders announced in February of this year for a total of 25 firm orders. Today's announcement represents the conversion of an additional five Canadair Regional Jet aircraft options to firm orders. Value of the five additional aircraft is approximately $80 million (U.S.).
