ALBANY - Lansingburgh ruined Holy Names' record a few weeks ago, but the defending Class A girls basketball champions weren't about to let the Knights from Troy spoil their season.
Playing with defensive ferocity and getting outstanding leadership from guards Alex Beaury and Sara Malone, Holy Names avenged its only loss to a Colonial Council opponent in 42 games with a convincing 58-34 homecourt victory in the Class A quarterfinals Friday night.
