Jan. 19--A Roanoke County rescue volunteer is accused of returning to the home of a woman he helped take to the hospital and stealing from her apartment.
Jonathan James Newman, 26, and his squad were called Wednesday night to the woman's south Roanoke County apartment in the 3300 block of Circlebrook Drive for a medical emergency, said Lt. Chuck Mason of the Roanoke County police.
When the woman returned home early Thursday morning she saw that her apartment had been burglarized and called police. Police did not release the woman's name.
An investigation led police to Newman's home in the 2500 block of Fairway ...
