ATLANTA - Tommy Bahama is the shining light in Oxford Industries' mix of brands as the Atlanta-based company continues to struggle with weak performance within its Menswear Group.
For the second quarter ended Dec. 1, Oxford last week reported a 19.3 percent increase in diluted earnings per share from continuing operations to 68 cents from 57 cents in the year-ago quarter. Consolidated net sales rose 4.7 percent to $291 million from $277.9 million.
The Menswear Group, which includes Ben Sherman, reported a net sales decline of 2.3 percent to $183.1 million from $187.3 million a year ago. The decline resulted primarily from a ...
