NEW YORK - Cory Lidle doesn't mind eating his words, not when they're rich and creamy, covered in milk chocolate and served with post-victory smiles.
Lidle questioned his former Phillies teammates' commitment to winning after he was traded to the Yankees this week, and they returned fire, Arthur Rhodes ridiculing him for surfing the Internet and eating ice cream bars in the clubhouse during games.
After he shut down the Blue Jays for six innings in his Yankees debut Thursday, Lidle found six ice cream bars melting on the chair by his locker.
