Article: Houlihan and Dancers. (Colony Theater, Miami Beach, Florida)

Choreographer and New World School of the Arts teacher Gerri Houlihan is a Lar Lubovitch alumna; graceful, technically virtuosic movement comes easily to her, so easily that it sometimes verges on the generic. It's been interesting to watch her working to develop an individual voice in the two years since she formed Houlihan & Dancers in Miami. (In the mid-eighties, she directed an earlier company, the Boston Dance Project.) Her most recent concert showed increased progress in that direction.
