Just ordinary day
at the Masters
AUGUSTA, Ga. - Without golf, days like Sunday at Augusta National - cloudless sky, warm sun, cool breeze, low humidity - would be wasted.
Since there were no tee times available here, I spent the early portion of Masters Sunday soaking up the "ambience," as Nick Faldo calls it. "It's one of the few places that have got it - here and St. Andrews," Faldo said.
My stroll took me to the driving range, where the tournament leaders were warming up. It could have been any Sunday at the Local Country Club Invitational.
