Nintendo of America wants to make Donkey Kong Country the king of the videogame jungle by offering its accounts an additional 3% in co-op marketing funds to promote it.
Currently "World of Nintendo" dealers - typically, mass merchants that receive select Nintendo merchandising materials - receive 4% in co-op marketing dollars. Other dealers, including video retailers, receive 3% co-op funds, according to Nintendo director of marketing George Harrison. Under the new program, retailers will receive 696 to 7% in co-op marketing funds to promote Donkey Kong Country.
