LUBBOCK, Texas _ Texas Tech seniors Darryl Dora and Jarrius Jackson made sure they'd never lose on their home court to Big 12 bully Kansas.
Dora, a big man who leads the team in time spent in coach Bob Knight's doghouse, played perhaps the best game of his career in Saturday afternoon's 69-64 upset of the No. 5 Jayhawks. He scored a season-high 19 points while providing a solid interior presence off the bench.
Jackson didn't play to his lofty standards, but his tiebreaking drive for a traditional three-point play was the biggest play of the game. His bucket with 1:03 remaining halted a 13-1 run by Kansas and gave Tech the ...
