Jan. 22--With so much going right for the Monterey Bay Blues Festival, the organization's new executive manager, Christine Sandin, is hardly singing the blues. But while she's getting a feel for the day-to-day chores that come with running a large festival, she does have one immediate focus: The festival board has launched a $2.5 million capital campaign for a blues education center and museum. "I'm really the generalist. I will have my hand in production stuff," Sandin said. "One of their goals is for me to work on their sponsorship program. They're kicking off a capital campaign and they'd like me to help out with that."
